Our founder, had been an entrepreneur for most of his life. The idea for LexHelper was sparked when his brother, a solo practicing attorney, shared how much time he was losing to administrative tasks like answering calls, chasing leads, and scheduling appointments. Those distractions were getting in the way of doing the work that really mattered: serving clients and building a strong legal practice.

Then came the opportunity to make a difference. LexHelper was created to give attorneys the same support and professionalism they’d expect from an in-house team, without the cost or complexity. We can. Our LexAssistant plans include all our legal answering service features, but if you only want messages taken you just need to tell us!  We’ll answer with your preferred greeting, take a message, and send it to you via email or SMS.

On Freedom and Complete plans, you can provide helpful info such as your short business description, the kind of services you provide or products you sell, your website address, the location of your business premises, directions to get there and in what timeframe calls might be returned.  FAQ Answering is also available on our Complete plans.

Yes. For plans that include call transfers, we can attempt to contact multiple staff in your preferred order. You can list an unlimited number of staff or departments as internal contact points and choose who we should contact in which scenarios. For important calls, you can nominate more than one staff member for us to try.

Yes. All call transfers are warm transfers. Our receptionist will place the caller on hold, call you, introduce the caller and give you the option to accept or decline. If you’re unavailable, we’ll take a message and let the caller know when to expect a response.

Yes, you can continue to advertise your existing landline or mobile phone number, then simply forward calls to the unique phone number we provide. Alternatively, if you don’t wish to forward your calls, you may wish to consider a Freephone 0800 number as an alternative advertised number.

If you need a phone number you can advertise, it’s best to request a freephone 0800 number. Freephone numbers can be taken with you if you ever cancel your service, however local call-forwarding numbers are leased only and remain the property of LexHelper, if you ever discontinue our services.

You sure can! LexHelper offers numbers with different area codes right across US. You can use these numbers for temporary campaigns (such as a localized number for a localized class action), to track volumes from forwarded numbers, to appear more established or to attract customers from different local areas. Alternatively, if you have a nationwide client base or a national class action, you may prefer a toll-free number.
